Medium-small fruits, golden yellow. Fragrant and tasty flesh suitable for jams. Ripens in the first decade of July.

APRICOT (Prunus armeniaca)
(Rosaceae) Loves heat, withstands drought, and fears humid areas. Sensitive to late frosts. In cold regions, plant in a sunny and sheltered position. Grows in all soils, including calcareous ones. Wait 2 to 4 years for a good harvest.

Pruning
It mainly blooms on one-year-old wood. Prune lightly to avoid promoting gummosis from December to February. Completely remove the suckers developed on the upper part of the crown and the larger branches inside to allow sunlight to reach the fruits. A light summer pruning in June is also recommended, exclusively removing the most vigorous suckers that have grown in the upper and inner parts of the tree.

Pollination
It is self-fertile in most cases. For the more recent varieties, it is advisable to associate with others that bloom at the same time.

Planting
Spacing from 5x3 to 4x4. Potted plants can be transplanted throughout the year, bare-root saplings are planted from December to the end of February. Do not shorten the roots too much.
