Brogiotto Fig - Pot Size 20 cm - Apice Piante

Brogiotto Fig, a low-vigor tree with a spreading habit, features small entire, trilobate, and pentalobate leaves. It produces fruit only from September 25th until the first cold, with an ampoule-shaped form, flat apex, and wide ostiole, along with a well-defined short neck. The flesh is a deep red color, medium aromatic consistency, and not very juicy, with a black-purple skin and good resistance to handling. Average weight 55 g.

The cultivation of the FIG is extremely interesting and relevant. The fruit, highly sought after in the market, commands high prices. The plant, typically Mediterranean, adapts well to dry climates and hilly, even poor, non-irrigated soils. No pest control treatments are necessary, making the fruit 'organic'.

PRUNING: It is simple, and thinning of the fruits is not performed.

SPACING: Planting distance from 4x4 to 5x5. In most cases, there are two productions: the first fruits called FIORONI and the second known as FORNITI or TRUE FIGS.
