Thornless Blackberry - V. 12 X 11 X 11 - Apice Piante

Shrub plant with a height ranging from 80 to 250 cm, with a perennial rootstock and partially erect biennial branches known as suckers in the first year and fruiting branches in the second.

Production occurs exclusively on fruiting branches. Persistent foliage, finely serrated.

Excellent for decorating walls, pergolas, fences, etc... Produces large black fruits, very sweet, during the summer.

We have different varieties, with upright or trailing growth habits.

PLANTING: Can be cultivated throughout Italy, prefers loose soils; for heavy soils, add fertilized peat to the planting hole. Plants should be arranged in rows spaced 40-50 cm apart within the row and 200-250 cm between rows. It is advisable to set up a row of posts spaced 200 cm apart, with three support wires to which the main branches should be secured.

CULTIVATION: Rustic crop, requires little care, with supplemental irrigation during the summer and balanced mineral fertilization with a predominance of nitrogen in spring and organic fertilization in late autumn. Can also be grown in pots, ensuring frequent irrigation and fertilization with slow-release fertilizers or through fertigation.
