Fruit plant Apice Piante VAN CHERRY.
Pot diameter of 20 cm.
Large, bright, intense red fruits. Short stem. Firm and sweet flesh. A highly productive reference variety, excellent pollinator for other varieties. Ripens in early June.
SWEET CHERRY (Prunus avium).
(Rosaceae) Productive in all regions. Grows in all soils except clayey and overly wet ones.
Pruning:
Should be done every year at the end of winter before budding, limited to balancing the vegetation and thinning the center of the tree. Avoid removing thick branches. A light summer pruning in June is also recommended, removing exclusively the most vigorous suckers that have grown in the upper and inner part of the tree. Planting distance from 5x4 to 6x6.
Pollination:
Non-self-fertile cherry varieties require nearby pollinator varieties to fruit properly.
