Beautifully aesthetic and highly decorative flowering lawn, quick establishment, and high planting density. Inside the box, you will find a bag of lawn seed and a packet of daisy seeds to sprinkle on the lawn once the grass has been sown.
COMPOSITION:
40% Perennial ryegrass
35% Perennial ryegrass
20% Red fescue
4.8% Kentucky bluegrass
0.2% Bellis perennis (wild daisy)
PRACTICAL TIPS FOR CREATING THE LAWN:
- Work the soil to a depth of about 20 cm, removing stones and weeds (also use herbicides in more severe cases) and level it afterwards to avoid harmful water stagnation;
- Break up the clods on the surface and perform an initial rolling;
- Sow the lawn seed by broadcasting in Spring (April-May) or in Autumn (September-October), making cross passes to ensure better seed distribution; the sowing rate for optimal results is about 30-35 g/sqm.
- Cover the seed (about 2 mm) with river sand or soil and perform a second light rolling.
- Water moderately every day the sown surface to maintain constant moisture and avoid the formation of a surface crust until the seedlings emerge;
- Perform the first cut with dry soil when the lawn reaches a height of 10 cm and maintain a cutting height of no less than 5 cm, removing the mowed grass. The daisy is a flower with a rather long germination cycle (biennial), therefore its sowing allows for flowering in the following season, or at least several months after the lawn's emergence;
- Water as needed, avoiding doing so during the hottest hours of the day, and provide adequate fertilization during the cooler periods of the year, preferably using slow-release fertilizers.
