Il consiglio dell'ortolano
Avoid wetting the leaves to prevent Peronospora. Prune the plants when the flowers appear

Description

Lettuce leaf basil, or "Neapolitan", can reach heights of up to 50 cm. It is widely grown in central-southern Italy. The large, crinkled leaves are light green and have a pleasant aroma, milder than traditional basil.

It should be pinched back at the first signs of flowering.

It is used in cooking just like traditional basil.

It can also be dried for winter use.

Can be grown both in pots and in open fields.

Fertilize every 2 weeks with liquid or granular organic fertilizer for generous production.
