Description
Description
The Datterino Tomato (Pole) Blue (variety Candy F1) is a stunning new variety, with color tones ranging from violet during growth, to almost black, and finally to elegant dark blue with large red areas at maturity. The flavor is sweet and the size is small, ranging from 10 to 15 grams. It can be grown in greenhouses and open fields. Candy is resistant to TSWV and TYLCV viruses, as well as powdery mildew, cladosporiosis, nematodes, and common soil diseases. In cultivation, avoid water fluctuations to limit the risk of splitting.
Growing characteristics:
Exposure: Sun
Plants that prefer full sun require a south-facing exposure, with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day, even during the 3-4 central summer hours. The exposure indicates how many hours of direct sunlight the plant needs for optimal growth. It can be full sun, partial shade, or shade, depending on the amount of natural light the plant needs to develop well and produce fruit.
Harvest time: 60 days
The harvest time indicates how many days it takes for the fruit to be harvestable (note: ripening may occur at different times than indicated, influenced by climatic factors, irrigation, and soil fertility).
Transplant distance: 50x100 cm
The transplant distance is the space between plants at the time of planting, both in the row and between rows. A correct distance avoids competition for light and nutrients, promoting growth and production, while distances that are too tight or too wide can negatively affect the quantity and quality of the fruit.
Average weight: 15 g
Indicates the average weight of the fruits harvested under normal growing conditions. This value can vary depending on factors such as the harvest phase, fertilization practices, and climatic conditions. In the early harvests, the weight may be lower than the indicated values. Additionally, conditions such as drought, water shortage, temperature fluctuations, and poor or excessive nitrogen fertilization affect fruit growth, which may be higher or lower than expected.
