Description

New variety of premium hybrid green asparagus. It has a vigorous, early, and productive plant for a long period of time. Very healthy, it is the most rust-tolerant variety. The green spears are very tender and tasty. Transplant at a distance of about 30 cm from plant to plant (3 plants per linear meter).

Growing Tips

Orto Mio guidelines for the species, to be adapted to the variety, local climate, and cultivation in soil or pots.

Exposure and Soil

Full sun; deep, fertile, and well-drained soil, sandy or medium loam, pH 6–7.5.

Transplanting

Prepare the soil in advance. Generally, 30 cm in the row and 100 cm between rows. In well-drained soils, use furrows; in clay soils, transplant more superficially.

Watering

Adjust after transplanting and in the first summer, without waterlogging. During harvest, keep the soil moist; adjust inputs according to soil and heat.

Fertilization

Rich initial nutrition; organic inputs during winter dormancy and fertilization after harvest, without excess nitrogen.

Care and Harvesting

Weed without damaging rhizomes and spears; cut dry stems at the end of autumn. Start harvesting from the third year, for an initially limited period. Cut spears of 12–20 cm with closed tips; then allow vegetation to develop to replenish reserves.
