Description

Zebrino oval tomato var. Zebryllo F1 is the new striped cherry tomato weighing about 20-30 g. It has sweet and aromatic oval fruits.

Similar to Crispino plum, it differs in having slightly less elongated berries with a more pronounced color contrast, greater productivity, and a thinner skin.

Harvest when the color of the stripes changes from orange to deep red. Ideal for fresh consumption and for delicious sauces.

Fertilize generously for abundant production. It is resistant to nematodes and common soil diseases.

Growing Tips

Orto Mio guidelines for the species, to be adapted to the variety, local climate, and cultivation in soil or pots.

Exposure and Temperature

Choose full sun; in summer, a light shade during the hottest hours is beneficial. Optimal growth at 20–24 °C; protect early transplants from the cold.

Soil and Transplanting

Fertile and well-draining soil, preferably pH 6–7. Transplant from March, under protection, to August, depending on the climate. Generally space 40–50 cm apart in the row and 100 cm between rows; for sauce varieties, also 30 cm in the row.

Watering

Water regularly at the base, allowing the surface to dry between waterings. Increase water during flowering and fruit swelling; avoid waterlogging and sudden shifts from drought to heavy watering.

Fertilization

Incorporate mature organic matter before transplanting. Distribute nutrients throughout the cycle, emphasizing potassium for production and avoiding excess nitrogen.

Care and Harvesting

Mulch. For stake tomatoes, provide supports and periodically remove suckers; do not remove them for dwarf varieties. Harvest according to the variety and use: for sauce, prefer well-ripened fruits. Cut the stem if detaching risks damaging the plant.
