Plants of Paesanello Pepper "look to the sky", an ancient variety of sweet pepper primarily used dried.
Typical of the Abruzzo region, the fruits have a characteristic "upward" growth habit that has earned them the nickname "look to the sky".
Measuring 10-12 cm long, with an elongated conical shape, they are harvested when they turn a deep red color, to be dried in traditional strings.
After air drying, the drying process is completed in a ventilated oven at low temperatures.
They can then be ground into powder or crumbled at the time of use, as a seasoning for many dishes.
The plant is vigorous yet compact and is distinguished by its excellent yield. It can be cultivated both in greenhouses and in open fields.
