Description

Original premium variety of green bean with yellow pods, very tender and stringless.

Growing Tips

Orto Mio guidelines for the species, to be adapted to the variety, local climate, and cultivation in soil or pots.

Exposure and Soil

Full sun, at least 6–8 hours. Mild climate, preferably 17–25 °C. Fertile, loose, and well-draining soil, pH 6–7.5.

Transplanting

From March, protected, to August. Dwarfs: generally 10 × 50 cm; climbers: 20 × 70 cm, with supports. Monthly transplants promote continuous production.

Watering

Light watering until establishment; then regular, without waterlogging. Avoid especially deficiencies and fluctuations in humidity during flowering and pod setting.

Fertilization

Balanced nutrition, suitable for soil fertility; avoid excess nitrogen. In poor soils, incorporate mature organic matter in advance.

Care and Harvesting

Shallow hoeing and mulching in the heat. Harvest frequently well-developed but tender pods, before the seeds swell. The first harvest is generally around fifty days, later for the climbing variety.
