Gazania are plants native to Africa belonging to the Composite family, with elongated leaves that have serrated or entire margins.
Their flowers close as soon as the sun sets and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies; they bloom abundantly from May onwards and if the plants are well protected, they can even bloom in winter.
The ideal temperature for cultivation and blooming is between 16° and 24° C.
Plants in the ground are satisfied with rainwater, but during prolonged dry periods and in summer, they should be watered regularly.
However, they are very easy to cultivate even in medium-sized pots, and in this case, they need to be watered more frequently than those grown in the ground and should be protected from the cold in winter.
