Agretto or Roscano - 12 plants - Orto Mio

Lischeri, roscani, agretti, barba dei frati, barba del negus… many names for this vegetable, highly appreciated by food lovers. It requires limited watering and fertilization. After cutting (at 5-10 cm), it can regrow for another 2-3 harvests. The stems and young fleshy leaves are used in the kitchen when they reach a height of 15-20 cm, before they become too tough. They can be enjoyed boiled, in omelets, savory pies, and other delicious recipes.
