Autumn Fennel Leonardo (ex Guttuso), this new variety, selected over years of trials, combines great resistance to bolting (it is the most tolerant to pre-flowering in the range) with excellent quality of the bulbs. Healthy and adaptable to different growing conditions, it has a round, white bulb of good size and excellent organoleptic quality. It maintains a rounded shape even when transplanted from July to early August. The flesh is crunchy and free of fibrousness, with a very pleasant aroma. In fertile soils, it easily exceeds 600 grams in weight. It is harvested about 70-90 days after transplanting (70-80 days in summer and 80-90 days in autumn and winter). For summer transplants, shade the seedlings for 15-20 days after planting and water consistently, avoiding waterlogging. Fertilize generously before transplanting and during growth for optimal results.
