In summer, water the transplant area a few days before

Description

High-quality early-maturing cauliflower variety, harvested in spring about 70 days after transplanting, and in autumn after 80 days. A vigorous and hardy plant, very healthy and less susceptible to diseases. The head is well protected by the leaves, compact and pure white, and can weigh over 2 kg.
Transplant from January to June

Growing Tips

Orto Mio guidelines for the species, to be adapted to the variety, local climate, and cultivation in soil or pots.

Exposure and Temperature

Full sun. Favorable growth at 18–25 °C; heat and temperature trends influence flower formation. Protect early transplants from cold.

Soil and Transplanting

Fertile, cool, and well-draining soil, preferably pH 6.5–7. Generally 40–50 cm in-row and 50–70 cm between rows, widening for vigorous varieties. Respect the timing of the variety; different cycles allow for staggered autumn and winter harvests.

Irrigation

Maintain regular moisture without waterlogging. After transplanting, use moderate and frequent watering; increase water availability during flower swelling.

Fertilization

Rich initial fertilization and balanced nutrition; avoid excess nitrogen that delays maturation.

Care and Harvesting

Shallow hoeing and use of non-woven fabric to limit stress after transplanting. Check the heart before the expected harvest date. Cut at the base of the flower leaving some protective leaves; after harvesting, the plant can be uprooted.
