The Four Seasons Lemon is a vigorous tree, quite hardy, tolerating temperatures down to -5°C. The leaves are evergreen, pale green, and elongated. The fruit is yellow, oval-shaped, with a bumpy skin. The pulp has a sour taste. It features fragrant white and purple blooms and regularly produces flowers; the fruit matures at staggered times throughout the year. Notable varieties include: Lunario Four Seasons, Amalfitano, Femminello.

These trees cannot be grown in open ground outside temperate and mild climate zones. However, they are particularly well-suited for cultivation in planters. They make excellent ornamental plants due to their beautiful, persistent foliage, which is glossy dark green on top and dull underneath. Slow-growing, they require minimal pruning to remove poorly positioned branches.

For planting in planters, prepare a mix consisting of 1/3 garden soil, 1/3 peat, and 1/3 potting soil, which, placed on a layer of gravel at the bottom of the planter, will ensure drainage. During the growing season, watering is necessary. Twice a month, the addition of an appropriate fertilizer will be sufficient.

During the warm season, a sheltered, partially sunny exposure is best; avoid permanent shade. In winter, the plants should be kept in a bright location, protected from frost, but without excessive temperatures (maximum 15°C). A light watering twice a month will be sufficient.
