Vanilla Chocolate Persimmon (Heritage variety). Pot diameter 20 cm. Small fruit, flesh ranging from yellow to brown, “vanilla-flavored”, edible at harvest and sweet. Small plant requires no treatment.
Ripening in October.

Persimmon - Diospyros
(Ebenaceae) It is also an ornamental tree. The orange fruits remain on the branches for a long time. Harvesting takes place from mid-October to early November. Not demanding regarding soil type and exposure, it prefers sheltered locations in northern areas. Young trees are sensitive to severe frosts. ‘Romagna-Loto type’: astringent at harvest, the fruits should be consumed when softened, about a month later, soft and sweet. ‘Vanilla’: sweet, non-astringent at harvest if pollinated, consumed firm. ‘Hana fuiju’: known as apple persimmon, large, quadrangular, always edible (non-astringent) at harvest, consumed at the consistency of an apple.
