Preferred period mid-November–March. Classic garlic: 15 × 30 cm; aglione: 25 × 50 cm. Adapt the planting to the type and soil.
Watering
Water during drought, especially during bulb swelling. Regular rainfall may suffice. Avoid waterlogging and suspend watering about fifteen days before harvest.
Fertilization
Organic matter in advance, avoiding applications close to transplanting. Balanced nutrition, paying attention to sulfur and avoiding excess nitrogen.
Care, Harvesting, and Storage
Weed between rows. In varieties that produce them, promptly cut the scapes. For storage, harvest when the basal leaves yellow or dry; let the bulbs dry in a ventilated area protected from rain, then store in a dry place.
