Red Garlic var. Gardos

Gardos Red Garlic Bulbs is a Spanish variety, rehabilitated and virus-free, with a medium-late cycle and a stem for dry harvesting. Excellent shelf life. Free from garlic virus and nematodes.

Sowing rates/ha:

between 8 and 10 quintals per hectare. It is sown from October to February

Planting distance:

cm.12 on the row cm.40 between the rows for an investment of approximately 200,000-220,000 plants/ha

Each head contains approximately 7-10 cloves depending on the variety (the red one up to 14-15, but it is advisable to discard the smaller ones).

Production and Collection:

It is harvested from mid-June to July. Green production 150-170 quintals/ha (remove 20% from dry)

Advice:

Harvest garlic when the foliage is about 2/3 yellow.
For garlic to dry out, it takes about 15/20 days after being harvested fresh.
Variety with stem, prune the main stem when the inflorescence appears
