The string bean (or Sant'Anna bean), also called 'climbing asparagus', is a very special climbing bean, easy to grow, climbing on supports such as canes or nets of about 2 meters in height.
It produces tasty, very long pods (up to 50-60 cm), but it is best to harvest them at 30-40 cm so that they remain tender and without 'string'.
Fertilize generously for prolonged production.
