Description
Erica is widely used to decorate and color terraces and gardens even in the winter months, however you have to be careful of frost because it cannot tolerate temperatures below 5°.
It is an evergreen plant native to South Africa and typical of the Mediterranean basin, belonging to the Ericaceae family.
It adapts well to both pot and open ground cultivation, but it tolerates partial shade in bright places, but does not tolerate direct sunlight all day.
Watering should be regular, but never abundant, preferably with water low in limestone. Avoid water stagnation that would compromise the health of the root system of the plant.
