Daisy - 14 cm vase

The daisy, Leucantheum vulgare, or common daisy is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae (Compositae) family, native to the Canary Islands, widespread throughout Europe and cultivated in all Italian regions for ornamental purposes.

All species of daisies bloom from May to late September.
In regions with a temperate climate, flowering continues until late autumn.
It loves bright and sunny places, semi-shaded at most, as long as they are sheltered from the wind. It does not tolerate the harsh cold of winter with temperatures below 5 degrees below zero.
The daisy, even if it resists short periods of drought, must be watered frequently until the beginning of autumn. In winter, watering must be suspended, especially if it is grown in open ground.
If kept in a pot, it should be watered only when the soil is completely dry to avoid the risk of root rot.
