Description
LARVMETH® TABLETS is a larvicide in effervescent tablets. It is extremely effective against all mosquito species (including the Asian Tiger Mosquito).
LARVMETH® TABLETS works by ingestion and contact, mimicking the effect of juvenile hormone which prevents the larva from transforming and becoming an adult. If used at the correct times and in the correct ways, it shows some selectivity towards predators and hyperparasites.
The particular tablet formulation makes LARVMETH® TABLETS safe and easy to use. In the fight against mosquitoes, black flies, and chironomids, it is sufficient to distribute the tablets in areas where the larvae reside, i.e., stagnant water such as manholes, fountains, tires, septic tanks, inspection chambers, basements, purification plants, purification tanks, small bodies of water, ditches, ponds, canals, and generally wherever water accumulates.
Depending on the organic load of the water, the recommended doses are:
– for clear water: 1 tablet of 2 g per 1000/2,000 L / 1 tablet of 0.5 g per 250/500 L
– for water with a high organic load: 1 tablet of 2 g per 500/1000 L / 1 tablet of 0.5 g per 125/250 L
– for confined environments with a high organic load, such as manholes: 1 tablet of 2 g per 40 L / 1 tablet of 0.5 g per 10 L
Regularly treat possible larval habitats from March to October. Repeat the treatment every 2-4 weeks depending on temperatures and water cleanliness, and in case of persistent rainfall.
