Salicornia, also called Sea Asparagus or Poor Man's Salt, has fat and fleshy leaves, very succulent, also ideal for eating raw.
The best way to cook it, however, is to quickly blanch it in unsalted water and season it with oil and lemon: it becomes a perfect side dish for fish-based dishes.
The stems, once blanched, can also be kept in oil.
