Turkish Fig - v. 20 cm - Plants Apice

Turkish Fig CL N9. Medium vigorous tree, open habit, 40% trilobed leaves, 60% pentalobed. Production of fioroni from 05/07 to 25/07 and of supplied from 20/08 to 30/09. The fioroni have a conical or pear-shaped shape tending towards cucurbiform, pronounced neck and closed ostiole, average weight 70 gr. thin, totally black skin, firm amber-pink pulp, resistant to handling. The supplied ones have a slightly shorter shape than the fioroni, thin black skin, red pulp, average weight of 65 gr. The production of the supplied ones is approximately double that of the fioroni. Productive and firm, it is the most interesting black-skinned variety for the market.

Ficus carica (Moraceae).
The cultivation of FIG is extremely interesting and current. The fruit, much requested by the market, has high prices. The plant, typically Mediterranean, adapts to dry climates and hilly terrain, even poor and non-irrigated. No pesticide treatments are necessary, the fruit is therefore 'organic', pruning is simple, no thinning of the fruit is carried out. Planting distance from 4x4 to 5x5. In most cases there are two productions: the first fruits called FIORONI the Second ones called FORNITI or TRUE FIGS.
