Apice Plants Dwarf Pesconoce. Medium fruits. Tasty pulp, yellow with red veins.
Ripens mid-July.
PEACH TREE (Prunus persica)
(Rosaceae) The peach tree is rustic, but prefers temperate and warm climates. It adapts to all types of soil, except those that are too humid and asphyxiated. It fears excess limestone unless it is grafted onto suitable rootstocks (plum, almond, peach, etc.). Avoid planting a peach tree on soil that has already hosted this species. Lifespan: 10 to 25 years depending on planting conditions.
Pruning:
The peach tree does not tolerate pruning well, which causes the secretion of gum. It should be done in February-March, at the beginning of flowering. The fruits form on the branches of the previous year. It is advisable to keep only the young shoots of medium vigor with a wide insertion angle.
Thinning:
After the natural fall of the young fruits, keep about 2 to 4 fruits per sprig (brindillo) and eliminate all the young shoots that do not bear fruit. For a better harvest, eliminate the leaves that hide the fruits.
