Cavolo Nero di Toscana Gigante Black Magic is a modern selection of the ancient early Ligurian ecotype, which improves its characteristics, enhancing its uniformity and productivity. It matures 90-100 days after transplanting.
Seedlings of this variety have wider leaves and are less susceptible to bacterial diseases.
The “head” is always compact, light green in colour, and is sought after for its excellent flavour.
When broccoli is ready for harvesting, it maintains its organoleptic characteristics unaltered for a long time, “withering” very slowly.
The plant has greater vigour than the old ecotype and benefits from a planting layout with greater spacing.
It is transplanted from August to October
