Digestible horn pepper Citrino variety Blanque F1, originally from Eastern Europe; since the beginning of the last century it has spread to northern Italy, with the name of "Bianco piacentino".
It is the main ingredient of the traditional compote, typical of the Piacenza area. It has a good thickness of pulp, with a delicate taste.
It is harvested with a citrus yellow colour; if left on the plant when ripe it becomes orange-red.
Blanque is naturally resistant to TSWV viruses. In the kitchen it is ideal for compotes, grilled and is also very popular raw in salads, because the flavor does not recur.
