Apricot Bella d'Imola or Brusa - v. 20 cm - Plants Apice

Bella d'Imola or Brusa apricot variety with medium-large, light orange fruits. Slightly soft flesh. Matures in early June.

APRICOT (Prunus armeniaca)
(Rosaceae) Loves warmth, tolerates drought, and dislikes humid areas. Susceptible to late frosts. In cold regions, plant in a sunny and sheltered location. Grows in all soil types, including calcareous ones. Expect 2 to 4 years for a good harvest.

Pruning
It flowers mainly on one-year-old wood. It should be pruned sparingly to avoid gummosis during December-February. Completely remove suckers developed on the upper part of the canopy and larger inner branches to encourage fruit sun exposure. It is also advisable to perform light summer pruning in June, removing only the most vigorous suckers growing in the upper and inner parts of the tree.

Pollination
It is self-fertile in most cases. For newer varieties, it is recommended to associate them with others that flower at the same time.

Planting
Spacing from 5x3 to 4x4. Potted plants can be transplanted throughout the year, while bare-root saplings are planted from December to the end of February. Do not shorten the roots too much.
