Description
Description
Growing grafted plants has several advantages:
- Increases the plant's vigor and production.
- The excellent root system provides better yield and larger fruit size.
- Improves plants' resistance to low temperatures.
- Improves plant resistance to diseases and pests.
- Grafted plants produce more and for longer.
- Particularly suitable for those with little space.
Cultivation:
- It is transplanted from March (sheltered) until the end of June.
- At a distance of 30 cm. on the row and 60 cm. between the rows.
- When transplanting, water generously, then use constant, moderate irrigation.
- Do not fertilize until the first fruits have begun to swell.
- It is necessary to remove the lateral shoots (female shoots) that develop at the base of the leaves.
- Fruit rot is due to a lack of calcium and water imbalances: water better and administer calcium.
Important: Transplant away from potato tubers.
Organic Tip: Plant nasturtium, marigolds and even basil near your tomato plants; it protects them from aphids and some pests as well as keeping the soil cool.
Rich in vitamin C, lycopene, calcium, potassium and fiber.
