The water that is taken from the subsoil and that arrives in our homes through the aqueduct is rich in calcium and magnesium salts, in most cases it is hard water. If we consider that for a freshwater aquarium the total hardness of the water should on average oscillate between 8 and 14 German degrees, we note that the hardness of tap water is much higher. There are only two solutions: prepare a part of the aquarium water with distilled water using OSMO-WATER or use the special resins that PRODAC distributes under the MUTACAL brand.
OSMO-WATER is indispensable for those who are particularly sensitive to the beauty of the ornamental aquarium or wish to breed the magnificent Discus and all other soft water fish.

Even when preparing a marine aquarium it is advisable to use osmotic water, thus avoiding "bad surprises", because the water obtained from OSMO-WATER is free from bacteria and heavy metals that can easily be found in water even if considered drinkable.
