Romy Tropea type red onion bulbs are a very early variety that produces round-flattened bulbs with a diameter of 10-12 cm, with a colour that varies from bright pink to red.

Thanks to its mild flavour, it is the transplant onion most similar to the Rossa di Tropea variety .

Planting distance:

5-10 cm on the row; 20-25 cm between the rows (from 40 to 90 bulblets/m2, depending on the size of the bulb you want to obtain)

In case of autumn planting, a certain percentage of seedlings going to seed is to be considered normal since these are long-day varieties (spring sowing).
