Description
Pettinari Corn Pop Corn. Origin: Argentina. Content: 500 Gr.
It is a cereal with small, glassy, pointed grains of golden yellow color. When the corn kernel is heated, the humidity contained in it turns into steam, generating such an internal pressure that it causes a small explosion or burst, releasing the white starch that gives popcorn its classic appearance. Sometimes it can happen that some kernels remain unexploded, this is due either to insufficient humidity in the kernel to create enough steam to generate the explosion or to the pericarp which, not perfectly sealed, causes a leakage of humidity from the kernel (in this case it will never reach the pressure sufficient to generate the explosion).
Nutritional information:
- Energy value (kcal) 325;
- Energy value (kj) 1.364;
- Protein 8.4 g;
- Carbohydrates 53.6 g, of which sugars: 1.03 g;
- Fat 4.3 g, of which saturated: 0.76 g, dietary fiber 18.9 g, sodium 0.002 g.
Directions for use (preparation and use):
Tasty light snack.
In a pan: pour a tablespoon of oil into a pan and put it on the stove. As soon as the oil is hot, pour in about two tablespoons of popcorn and cover the pan with the lid. At the first pops, shake it lightly: the popcorn will be ready in a few minutes.
In the microwave: pour two tablespoons of popcorn into a tall container suitable for microwave cooking, cover the container with cling film and pierce it to let the steam escape. Cook at 750/800w power for about 4 minutes. At the end of cooking, add salt or sugar to taste.
