Moscato d'Amburgo vine, has a medium, pyramidal, elongated, winged, sparse bunch, with 7-8% millerandage. The berry is medium, sub-oval in shape, purplish black in colour, with a very pruinose skin, rather thin but resistant, with an intense purplish black colour; The pulp is quite soft, sweet, juicy with a pleasant muscat flavour. Ripening: 1st decade of September.

Originating from England where it is called "Black of Alexandria", where it was grown in greenhouses, it spread first to France and later to numerous wine-growing countries; A prized variety known for a long time. It is a vine with good vigor and productivity, it lends itself well to pergola training systems. It requires short pruning otherwise it can present the phenomenon of sweet millerandage. The grapes do not always ripen regularly and the berries are sometimes very uneven in size. The grapes resist reasonably well on the plant but do not tolerate long journeys.
