Fig Verdone CL N15. Medium/high vigor tree with erect bearing, five-lobed leaves with narrow lobes and very pronounced sinuses. Production of only supplied from 25/09 until the first winter frosts even after the leaves have fallen. The supplied conical cucurbiform shape with a very long neck and woody stalk weigh 50/70 gr., very thin skin of wine red color at the beginning of ripening, reddish green at the end, firm red pulp very resistant to handling. It is very interesting for its shelf life and extremely late ripening period.

Fig Ficus carica L. (Moraceae)

The cultivation of FIG is extremely interesting and current. The fruit, much requested by the market, has high prices. The plant, typically Mediterranean, adapts to dry climates and hilly terrains, even poor and non-irrigated. No pesticide treatments are necessary, the fruit is therefore 'organic'.

PRUNING: It's simple, no thinning of the fruit is done.

DISTANCE: Planting distance from 4x4 to 5x5. In most cases there are two productions: the first fruits called FIORONI the second called FORNITI or TRUE FIGS.
