Peeking at the summary we realize the wealth of topics covered in this little book. It starts from the origins and geographical provenance of this miraculous fruit, which apparently seems to have had its first specimens in the East, and then spread to Greece, Italy and then throughout Europe. Subsequently, the characteristics of the plant are described, times and methods of sowing, cultivation and harvesting of the fruit and then also a guide to its purchase and conservation. The more substantial chapters expose the multiple properties of this fruit contained in each of its parts (juice, peel, leaves, bark) together with a list, in alphabetical order, of the small and large daily ailments for which lemon is indicated both as a preventive and curative remedy, according to both internal and external uses. The last pages are dedicated to the presentation of cosmetic and beauty treatments based on lemon and to particular therapeutic treatments called "Lemon Cure" based on the daily intake of lemon to combat various ailments (such as arthrosis, arthritis, rheumatism, gout and kidney stones) but to be carried out under medical supervision.
