The 4 Seasons Lemon is a vigorous tree, quite rustic, it tolerates temperatures down to -5°C. The leaves, persistent, pale green in color, are elongated. The fruit is yellow, oval, with a pitted skin. The pulp has a sour taste. The flowering is white and purple, scented, it blooms again regularly; the ripening of the fruit is staggered over part of the year. Among the main varieties we remember: Lunario Quattro stagioni, Amalfitano, Femminello.

These trees cannot be grown in open ground outside of temperate and mild climate zones. However, they are particularly suitable for growing in flowerbeds. They are excellent ornamental plants thanks to their beautiful persistent foliage, intense green glossy and opaque underneath. Slow growing, they require little pruning to eliminate badly arranged branches.

For planting in flowerpots, prepare a mixture of 1/3 garden soil, 1/3 peat and 1/3 potting soil, which, on a bed of gravel at the bottom of the flowerpot, will ensure drainage. During the growing season, watering is necessary. Twice a month, the addition of an appropriate fertilizer will be sufficient.

During the warm season, a sheltered, half-sunny position is best, avoid permanent shade. In winter, the plants should be placed in a bright room, protected from frost, but not too hot (15°C maximum). A light watering twice a month will be sufficient.
